Individual Therapy

Eating disorder treatment is a collaborative journey built on trust, compassion, and individualized care. At DRWR&A, we understand that seeking help for an eating disorder can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our specialized psychotherapy services for eating disorders create a safe space for clients to explore the emotional, psychological, and behavioral factors that contribute to disordered eating patterns. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, clients work toward recovery, self-acceptance, and a healthier relationship with food and body. Individual therapy sessions at DRWR&A range from 30 to 90 minutes, tailored to your needs, preferences, and schedule. Our expert clinicians develop personalized treatment plans that include recommendations for session frequency and therapeutic goals

Family Counseling

For many individuals, family therapy plays a vital role in healing by strengthening support systems and promoting long-term recovery. Our expert clinicians integrate family therapy into eating disorder treatment plans when clinically appropriate, helping to build trust, improve communication, and create a healthier home environment. Family sessions are designed to address the dynamics that may contribute to disordered eating, offering education, guidance, and support for loved ones.

At DRWR&A, we believe that eating disorder recovery is not meant to be faced alone. Our eating disorder group therapy programs are designed to foster peer connection, support, and a shared sense of humanity, which are vital for long-term healing. We offer a safe, compassionate, and structured space where individuals can explore their relationship with food, body image, and self-worth alongside others on similar journeys. Groups are led by experienced clinicians and incorporate evidence-based strategies to help members build emotional regulation skills, challenge disordered thoughts, and cultivate a more empowered relationship with their bodies. We also offer support groups for parents and loved ones of individuals struggling with eating disorders.

Experiential Meals

Experiential Meals are designed to support individuals in building a healthier relationship with food in real-time. Guided by trained therapists and registered dietitians, these structured therapeutic meals help clients confront food-related fears, practice mindful eating, and challenge disordered behaviors in a supportive environment. Experiential Meals are especially effective at reducing anxiety around meals and reinforcing recovery goals.

Body Image Exposures focus on reducing body dissatisfaction and appearance-related anxiety through guided, gradual exposure to body-related thoughts, images, and experiences. By working with a trained therapist, clients learn to challenge negative body image beliefs, increase body acceptance, and build emotional resilience. Our safe & supportive environment allows clients to confront fears, shift internal narratives, and begin to reconnect with their bodies in a healthier way.

At DRWR&A, our nutritional counseling services are a key component of comprehensive eating disorder treatment. Our registered dietitians support clients through personalized nutrition plans. They compassionately guide clients to learn to rebuild a healthy relationship with food, improve body image, and restore balanced eating habits. Nutritional counseling is integrated with mental health therapy to support long-term recovery and overall well-being.
